Today, we're somewhere near the Carolinas. Headed to breakfast early and then down to the Music Hall for the Cruise Critic Meet and Greet, The Meet and Greet began at 9:30 A.M. It was a really nice planned event for Cruise Critics from around the world. Name badges were made for all of us. Hope and I found our badges and grabbed a seat. It was really nice, when they served mimosas and champagne. During the raffle, Hope won a Royal Caribbean cap. After the Meet and Greet we broke out in groups for the Cabin Crawl.
The Cabin Crawl was a great opportunity to see a few exclusive cabins and a couple of cabins for single travellers. Some of the cabins were gorgeous. It was very tiring, as we travelled to several cabins on several different floors. We did use the elevators, but we weren't quite familiar with the ship yet and sometimes we had to double back down the long corridors and it was quite warm as we crowded into some of the cabins. My favorite cabin was occupied by a family with 2 or 3 teenagers. The beds and full bath were on one side of the cabin and an actual living room was on the other. Both sides had huge TVs.
There was also one cabin with the huge, I mean gigantic window in the shape of a porthole. There was a seating area in front of it and you could actually view the front of the ship. People were joking about the pole in the middle of the cabin in front of the bed. The couple were older and people were joking that maybe they used it for pole dancing.
After that we headed back to the cabin to freshen up and change our clothes for the Rip Cord. Unfortunately, I couldn't take the ride because I weighed too much. So sad. Hope was able to make it. I held her stuff while she went to class and then to put on her flight gear. I headed up top to watch a few people take the flight and had plenty of laughs. A few folks cruising on CP time arrive and tried their best to bogart their way into the Rip Cord group. The leader of the pack insisted that no one told them that they had to be on time. I stood along the wall to watch the group ahead of Hopes. The best was the little girl. She wasn't scared or anything. She weighed nothing and the instructor was able to assist her in flying a bit higher. She also looked to be having a great tine. Everyone clapped when she was done. Anyway, Hope and the other 3 cruisers. lined up to take the flight. I photographed her and the instructor and they gave me the thumbs up.
Afterwards we headed down and walked around the ship and took lots of photos. This ship will take a few days to navigate. Headed back to the cabin to take a breather. change clothes and then headed over to the Two70 to see Spectre's Cabaret. The show was actually fantastic. Sort of on the scale of Cirque Du Soleil. Very entertaining.
After the show we headed back to Sorrento's Pizzeria. Yep, more pizza and then we called it a night.
